Battleships at the Espy to debut new EP To You.
Heading down south no one in the crowd will give a hoot about Sydney/Melbourne rivalries as Battleships have the musical power to bring together the most bitter of state rivals in a blissful joy.
They hit the Espy in St Kilda with a swag of supports on Thursday 22 November. Did we mention it's a free gig too?

And who are they joining? Only Aussie rock legends Spiderbait and Something for Kate. Where they fit them all beats us but nice way to ring in the New Year.

Julitha Ryan playing back to back Sundays for new album The Lucky Girl.
Silver Ray keyboardist and Melbourne music scene veteran Julitha Ryan will play two Sundays in a row at Yah Yahs in Melbourne to coincide with the release of her debut album 'the Lucky Girl.' Pretty good way to put off the fact you have to go to work the next day.

Peter Murphy to play one-off show at the Gov.
Goth rock pioneer and former frontman for UK's BauhausPeter Murphy will be touching down in Australia in January for one show at the Gov in Adelaide.
Murphy and his bandmates are widely credited with leading the goth rock sound in the 70's and he continued on with a long solo career spanning nine albums.
He'll have plenty of original work and a few Bauhaus classics up his black leather sleeve for long awaiting fans as he makes his first visit to Australia.

Krista Polvere to launch new single in Sydney and Adelaide
Back from America where she recorded her new album Reservoir DriveKrista Polvere will be performing in Sydney and Adelaide for the single launch of "Looking for Love". Her album will be out early 2013 so is a chance to see what she's got in store for us next year.

Union Boys collaborate to celebrate Australia's history of resistance.
November 11th; a day which joins two significant moments in Australian history, the hanging of Ned Kelly and the sacking of former Prime Minister Gough Whitlam.
The Union Boys are celebrating the day with musicians from Handsome Young Strangers, Urban Guerillas, Sydney City Trash, Winter Station and Roaring Jack getting together to celebrate Australian resistance through music. Joining them will be Urban Guerillas, Steph Miller and the Winterstation and Jimmy Stewart.
