Things have been going extremely well in the Mucho-Bravado camp recently; with a roster of artists including the likes of Emma Louise and The Jungle Giants enjoying various successes, the label can now count the talented Gung Ho and Andy Bull amongst their ranks. To top an excellent year off, Mucho-Bravado have announced that they’ll be hosting a special pre-BigSound party in Brisbane; a party with a limited amount of tickets available to the public, this Mucho-Bravado led shindig will be featuring a stellar line up of music which will show off some of their M-B family.

MINIBIKES ANNOUNCE ALBUM LAUNCH DATE AT THE NORTHCOTE SOCIAL CLUB
Minibikes first came into existence when singer-songwriter Marcel Borrack realised he needed a band to bolster the new material he’d been working on in 2010. With the addition of Al Barden, Libby Chow, Nathan Farrelly and Tim Harvey, Minibikes have since been working on honing their sound and working on the material which would turn into their debut EP, For Woods Or Trail. The band will be launching the record at the Northcote Social Club this October and invite you all to check it out!

STEVE SEDERGREEN TO LAUNCH POINTS IN TIME THIS MONTH!
Much celebrated jazz celebrated Steve Sedergreen will be launching his new album Points In Time at the Central Club Hotel in Richmond this month! With this album, Sedergreen reflects and draws on ‘the three chapters’ in his evolution as a composer to date and demonstrates what is still to come. Sedergreen will front a nine-piece band on the night, including horns, guitar, bass and drums alongside two guest vocalists.

LITTLE MISS RHYTHM TRIBUTE SHOWS PAY TRIBUTE TO RUTH BROWN IN SEPTEMBER
Award winning blues artists Alison Penney (Sydney) and Sweet Felicia (Geelong) will be serving up two nights of 50s style R&B shows at the Northcote Uniting Church as part of the Darebin Music Feast this month! The Little Miss Rhythm shows will be paying tribute to the music and life of Ruth Brown, the Grammy award-winning singer, composer and actress who was famous for pioneering the 1950s R&B sound which went on to inspire the likes of Elvis, Etta James and Aretha Franklin.

KRISTA POLVERE SHOWCASING RESEVOIR DRIVE IN OCTOBER
Krista Polvere first introduced herself to the live circuit and the industry in general with her debut release, Here Be Dragons in 2008. Fast forward to 2012, and Polvere has a follow-up record ready for release in Resevoir Drive. East Coast hip-hop guru Jeru The Damaja is coming to Sydney this month for a special one-off gig, bringing his native Brooklyn sound to the Oxford Art Factory. A rapper, producer and label owner for over 20 years, Jeru has worked with the likes of Groove Armada and Gangstarr and solidified his place in the hip-hop world with his debut record, The Sun Rises In The East. ‘DIDN’T IT RAIN’ – A BENEFIT FOR JASON MOLINA
Melbourne will be showing its support and love for Jason Molina, one of the most revered and unique songwriters of the last two decades in September. Molina has recently been revealed to spending time in rehabilitation following health issues, prompting his fans and the music community to rally in raising money for Molina. ‘Didn’t It Rain’ the event named after one of Molina’s records, will see a variety of local musicians performing songs from Molina’s extensive and diverse catalogue. Already announced to perform are The Gypsy Curse, Sean McMahon, Michael Madden, Wayward Breed, The Deep Green Sea and Saint Hill, with many more to be announced. All funds raised will go towards Molina’s rehabilitation process in the US.
